Destiny 2: How to Capture a Life-Like Digital Snapshot
Destiny 2: How to Capture a Life-Like Digital SnapshotThere is an old fashioned way to capture a life-like digital snapshot of any character in Destiny 2: you take a photo of them as they stand, then watch it on a computer monitor. I played Destiny 2's first campaign and managed to get a lot of good shots of the game's characters without having to use the feature. One moment I was shooting an ancient Titan who was standing in front of a major world event. He was in front of an enormous door, which seemed to be trying to swing open. As I watched this happen, I ran off and found a perfect vantage point to snap a picture. This was just one of the many moments that I found myself reliving as I played Destiny 2. It's fascinating to watch NPCs react to events around them. As I watched a bounty hunter to fall to her death in front of a big explosion, I thought about how far she'd come from the lowly caravan scavenger she was before. That's because Destiny 2's game director David Goss has draw n inspiration from real life hunting expeditions for photos.'One of the things we saw was people traveling down country roads in the morning to get some food or a few things they needed for the day,' Goss told me. 'It's much more interesting to go to these places and shoot people up there than it is to shoot them in the evening, which is what's happening in the game now.' This was something that the game designers were concerned about: they wanted players to feel like the character in the photo was human, but still have the same dramatic impact when used in a cinematic scene.Goss said he chose real life hunting spots because they offer real photographs to help bring to life the game. Because this feature will be used for the first time in Destiny 2, you can expect a much higher level of detail than you see in the trailers or in the regular press releases. It may not seem like a big deal, but it's a powerful feature. You can make an epic image using your imagination to describe what i t's like to see a character in action. Bungie will let you use this for your story and characters, too. To enjoy Destiny 2's story, you can make a short video of yourself taking a picture.Destiny 2's destiny.bungie.org website also offers a new feature called Destiny Tracker. You can use it to find out what the best weapon in the game is for your character. It's a great way to introduce the gameplay of Destiny 2 to players before they get started.
